About

A design forward newspaper created exclusively for the city of Irvine. Each page of this paper was thoughtfully crafted to ensure it stood out in every way. It covered a wide range of topics including Entertainment, Community, Technology, Education, Business, and much more. The Irvine Standard is still going strong with over 500,000 copies printed and distributed throughout the city.

Brand Strategy

Irvine Standard highlights the people, places, and stories that shape Irvine, California. We created a newspaper that is fearlessly designed to reflect the city’s forward thinking spirit while staying accessible and engaging for everyday readers. I created a logo that’s strong, modern, and built to stand the test of time. The paper features a clean four-column grid that’s flexible enough to adapt to any layout. With clear editorial hierarchy, easy-to-navigate sections, and bold visuals that elevate community stories, the result is a newspaper that feels both familiar and fresh.
